Good Neighbors!

Six things you can do to help our pond and be a good neighbor:

1. Make sure your septic system has been inspected and is working well to help keep our watershed clean and healthy.
2. Help protect the wildlife by making sure to use lead-free and pond-friendly fishing gear.
3. Avoid using pesticides and fertilizers to help prevent algae blooms.
4. Don't feed the waterfowl. It can create many problems for the birds as well as for the environment.
5. Be careful while paddling/driving your boat over heavily infested areas of milfoil to avoid breaking the plants.
6. Remove loose/floating milfoil from your waterfront area.
